THE INSPIRATION
FAN side table draws inspiration from ancient Chinese waist fans. The simple yet clever mechanism allows the table to be folded or straight with a 90 degree rotation. The table is designed with two primal shapes: arched cylinder and a round top surface, connected with a L shaped piece.
With two main materials, concrete and oak, and a distinctive figure FAN transforms to an art piece until it is used as a table.
